Enjoying the Fall Weather!

 First haircut with Daddy

Fall break was packed full of fun while the girls were both out of school.  We started the first weekend off with apple picking, then the kids and I hiked Kennesaw Mountain, went to the Zoo with some old friends, and then Sam took a the day off to take a short trip to Chattanooga to visit the Tennessee Aquarium.

The kids and I had a fun time at Kennesaw Mountain.  They all liked the hike up and we tried to make it to the top to see the cannons, but their little legs just couldn't make it that far.  I sure got my workout for the day though.  I had Eli on my back in the baby carrier and carried Ben on the front of me most of the way down when his legs got too tired to walk any further.

Fall break also included Eli trying his first S'more.  Yum!

The Zoo is more fun with friends!

We had a great day in Chattanooga visiting the Aquarium and having lunch!

We are settling into a routine and transitioning to a family of four kids is getting easier every week.  It has been such a joy to watch Eli and Ben's relationship grow closer.  Ben really does love him now and their little fights seem more like normal sibling stuff.  We have stayed pretty busy around the house with small projects and with some fun outings.  Eli is doing great sharing his time with me and Daddy and has really warmed up to his Grandma and Papa too!  We were busy a few weeks ago with doctor appointments to get Eli all checked out since we didn't really know much about his medical status prior to coming to us.  We are excited to say everything has checked out well!

Here's Ben perched atop the giant pile of rocks that became a dry creek bed in our yard.  This kept him quite busy for several days doing his "hard work" as he likes to call it.

After much debate about sending Ben to preschool versus not sending him, we have decided to keep him home this year.  We are working on a little preschool curriculum at home and he (mostly) is enjoying it!

Love spending my mornings home with these crazy guys!

First little sickness for Eli.  Luckily, it only lasted about 24 hours.
