Summertime Leftovers

I was looking through my camera and just discovered some pics from the summer that I sort of forgot about.
They were mainly from the visits we had with both grandmas this summer.  We were lucky enough to enjoy a visit with my mom and sisters and also with Sam's mom.  The kiddos loved taking their grandmas swimming!

Smidgets!

Hannah started playing soccer this season in the NASA Smidgets League!  She is loving it!  Daddy gets some quality soccer time with the girls on Sundays while I am working.  She even scored a goal once!  Her team has 6 little kids on it and they practice for 30 minutes and then have a 30 minute 3 vs. 3 game.  Hope it is something she wants to stick with so she can be a soccer player like her Daddy!

Hannah and Reagan returned back to Eastminster Christian Preschool today.  They were very excited to be going back to school.  Hannah is in pre-K this year and is going 5 days a week.  This is such a big change for us to have her gone every day!  Reagan is going 3 days a week.  There were a couple tears from Reagan when I dropped her off this morning, but she quickly recovered when she found the toys.  Hoping they have a great year at preschool!  Can't believe that this time next year Hannah will be starting kindergarten!

Big Girl Beds!

The girls in their new big girl beds!

Just realized I never posted these pictures from the 4th of July fishing contest. We didn't catch anything but the kids still had a great time!

Hannah is always making crazy faces in her pictures!

This was by far Reagan's favorite part of the day....playing with the bait!  Her friend Caroline was nice enough to share her container of worms with Reagan.  They had a great time playing with them....gross!

Hilton Head Island 2012

We very fortunate to be able to spend another vacation in Hilton Head this summer!  We had a wonderful time.  It was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing and so great to get away for a while!  This year we stayed in a house in a wonderful neighborhood just steps from the beach.  So much better than the hotel we stayed in last summer!  It was great to be able to relax and cook our own meals and have a whole house to spread out in.  I loved it so much that I have been trying to find a way for us to live in Hilton Head all the time!  Hopefully we can at least make it back there next summer!

The beach was great, filled with lots of sea life, tiny baby-friendly waves, and hardly any people.  It was like we had our own private beach. AMAZING!  Here is Sam with a little crab he found the first day.

Hannah loved the beach from the minute we arrived!

It took Reagan a little while to warm up to the idea of the ocean...

Here is just one of the hundreds of hermit crabs we saw that week!

Hannah and Reagan holding hands on our short walk to the beach.

Daddy and the girls built some awesome sand castles!

I am not sure how we managed to make it 4 years without ever going to Chuck E Cheese, but we did, and on Hannah's actual birthday (which was also Father's Day) we took her to Chuck E Cheese to play for a while.  They had a good time playing the games and then afterwards we went out for grownup food at a real restaurant for Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day!

Here is Hannah with her baby tree that is now 4 years old!  It is still pretty small since we kept it in a pot for the first 3 years of its life until we knew we were in the house we were going to be staying in.  She is getting so big!
