When I woke up today, after having worked last night, I was in for a big surprise!  I came downstairs and Sam brought me a plastic bag with a bunch of pretty blonde hair in it, and did not at all prepare me for what I was about to see.  Hannah had given herself a haircut!  Her pretty long blonde hair was now a horrible mullet-like mess!  I instantly started crying and Hannah tried to make me feel better by telling me it was okay.  I know most little kids do this at some point in time, but Hannah loved her hair and wanted it to be "long like Rapunzel,"  so I never thought she would do this with her little safety scissors!  She didn't just take off a little bit.  She cut the hair all around her face really short, leaving the long hair in the back.  We, of course, had to bring her to get it fixed pretty quickly, since I knew she couldn't head off to preschool like that tomorrow.  We ended up cutting it pretty short and she actually looks pretty cute with it like that.  She promised never to cut her own hair again!

Halloween

After the numerous festivities leading up to Halloween, finally the big day arrived!  Hannah did awesome this year and really hit up a lot of houses.  They were running from house to house for a LONG time before finally tiring out.  I had the hardest time getting good pictures since she was running in them all!  Here is Reagan, again trying to get to a lollipop!

Halloween Carnival

The Halloween festivities continued with the Chimney Springs Halloween Party!  As social co-chair for the neighborhood, this party was all my doing with the help of my co-chair, Allison.  This made it much more stressful (especially since I had worked the night before) this year with all the setting up and making sure everything went smoothly, but it actually turned out really well and everyone had a great time!  Here is me with my little ladybug, Reagan.

 Sadly, after the party Andrew, Jackie and Presley had to head back home to Lakeland.  We had a such a great visit with them!  We tried to get a picture with all of us and our little ones, but so hard to get them all to look at the camera at the same time!

Brothers and Babies

For the second year in a row we were fortunate enough to have lots of visitors over Halloween!  Sam's parents came to visit for 2 weeks and just left yesterday and Jackie, Andrew and Presley came last weekend and stayed a few days.  We had a great time and it was wonderful having such a full house!  We just love when visitors come during the fall when the weather is so nice and the fall color is so pretty, it makes us hopeful that they will be convinced to come move up here near us!  Here are the brothers looking so handsome together!

The little cousins had a great time playing together!  Presley kept right up with her two older cousins!  Can't wait to see them all again during Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin Carving!

We had a great time carving our pumpkin again this year and this time Hannah wanted it to have a scary face!  Daddy did his best to make a scary pumpkin!  Reagan pretty much just sat back and ate a lollipop (her new favorite thing in the whole world).  The kids never want to get their hands dirty to help with the pumpkin!

We've been Boo-ed!

Finally, some Halloween pictures!  Another reason I love living in Chimney Springs....we were boo-ed!  We found an anonymous basket of Halloween candy with a note inside saying we had been Boo-ed!  Then we of course filled 2 more baskets and passed the Boo along to two other unsuspecting little kids!  Such fun!

Another trip to the pumpkin patch!

Yesterday we ventured out for our second trip to another pumpkin patch!  This time with some moms and kids from Hannah's preschool.  We went out to Berry Patch Farms where they had a hayride out to the patch, each kid got a small pumpkin and then after the hayride back everyone got some apple cider.  They had a playground and some farm animals and the kids had a great time!

 Hannah really loved "driving" the tractor!  I think this is our last pumpkin patch trip this season..... Grandma and Grandpa Sampson are coming up tomorrow and we might have to make one more trip with them...

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a few pumpkins.  We had big plans to go apple picking on Sunday afternoon, but the weather wasn't great so we figured we would stick close to home.  Maybe next weekend we will venture up to North Georgia for that.  Anyways, the kids had a great time picking out some pumpkins.  We are excited for Halloween, wearing our costumes, carving pumpkins, fall weather and fall color on the trees and the Halloween candy!

 The kids had a great time with the wagon.  They both rode in it, Hannah pulled Reagan around and then Hannah pulled and Reagan pushed the wagon full of pumpkins.  We ended up with 1 big pumpkin for carving, a warty pumpkin that Hannah picked out, 2 little pumpkins for each of the girls, and 2 smallish pumpkins for me to use in pie, muffins, pumpkin bread, pancakes, etc.  Mmmmm....I love cooking with pumpkin!
