Number 2!

Hannah has been keeping us quite busy these days. She no longer just walks everywhere....now she can run and she moves fast. She has really been keeping us on our toes! Hannah and I went to Orlando a few weeks ago to visit my side of the family. We brought Hannah to the beach for the first time and it did not go so well. She pretty much hated the sand and the water and screamed everytime we brought her near it. The only time she was happy was when she was sitting up on the blanket under the umbrella eating snacks. It was still a good time though and maybe next time she will like it more.

Hannah has been doing some artwork for me too! She likes to color and it keeps her entertained for a few minutes, until she starts dropping all the crayons on the floor. Hannah will be starting to go to Mother's Morning Out this week. It is like baby preschool! She is going to have so much fun and meet other little babies to play with and hopefully learn some new stuff, plus mommy gets a break for a few hours a week!
Sam and I also have some other news to share.....we are expecting another baby! Baby number 2 is expected to join our family around March 7! We are very excited to add another child to our family and can't wait for Hannah to be a big sister! We will keep you all updated!

Quick update

I have not updated in a while, since Hannah's birthday I think. Hannah is doing more new stuff! She has been walking a little bit but she still prefers to crawl around real fast. I have seen her take up to 6 or 7 steps at a time and then she just gets down and crawls to get where ever she is going. I think she is just not patient enough since it takes her longer to walk places.

Sam and I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago. We left Hannah with grandma and grandpa Sampson for the week. It was my first time being away from her overnight. She did really great and had a good time with her grandparents.

She has been keeping us really busy lately. She is constantly into everything and loves putting things into containers and then taking them back out, taking everything off all of my shelves and putting her own toys there. It is pretty cute but keeps me really busy chasing after her.

We have been going to storytime at the library every Wednesday for a while now too. She really likes getting to be around the other babies! Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know what she has been up to lately! Enjoy the pictures.

Birthday Pictures

Here are some pictures from Hannah's birthday party last weekend! Sorry it has taken me so long to post them! She had a great time. she loved all of her presents! She got a ton of stuff. I think smashing up her cake was the best part for her. She cried when she first touched it, but after she tasted it she could not stop eating! She was just smashing handfuls of cake into her mouth! We eventually had to take it away so she would not be sick and she got so mad about that. Anyways, the party was fun. We wish more of our family could have made it but everyone lives so far away! First Birthday

Hannah's first birthday was yesterday! I can't believe she is a year already! It has gone by so fast. We had a very fun filled day yesterday. Daddy even got to stay home from work! We went to the lake in the morning. It was Hannah's first time doing anything like that. She played in the water and in the sand. She liked going out in the deep water with her Daddy. We didn't stay too long because Hannah was wanting her nap. After she woke up we went to Toy R' Us and got one of those outside playsets for her to crawl on. More pictures of that to follow.... anyways, she loved it and took a tumble from the top soon after she started playing on it. She forgot about falling about 30 seconds later and kept on playing. It was a very fun first birthday! Her party is on Saturday and I will post pictures of that when I get them.

Almost One!

Hannah is almost 1! I can't believe it! Her birthday is next week! She is so much fun. It has been awhile since I have posted anything, but she has been keeping me so busy. She is such a happy little girl. She should be walking pretty soon. She stands up without holding on to anything but has not taken those first steps yet. She eats pretty much everything we eat and drinks from a sippy cup! She says "Mama" and "Dada" and "bye-bye" and waves. Her party is going to be on June 20. It should be fun. It will just be a small gathering but I am sure Hannah will enjoy smashing up her cake! I will be sure to post pictures of that! We have been going to the park and she likes to swing on the baby swings. We have also been using her baby pool a lot too and she really likes that too!

Hannah and I went to Orlando last week to visit one set of grandparents. They were all so happy to see her and sad that we could not stay longer. Hannah was really worn out from all the excitement but she did really good on the long car ride! We were hoping to go the beach but the weather did not cooperate so we will have to go another time!

Another update....

Hannah is getting so big and is so much fun. I can't believe she is going to be 1 soon! Time is flying. So lets see....since I posted last Hannah finally got her first tooth. She has been working on it for quite some time. Then, a few days later she got another one beginning to poke through. They are not the ones that normally come in first. They are on the top on the sides, but we will take whatever we can get. She pretty much is eating everything even without teeth. She really prefers to feed herself these days rather then us feeding her baby food. She is becoming very independent!

Since it has been so nice out we went and got a little pool for the backyard. We tried it out yesterday. She pretty much hated it and screamed every time I put her in. I told her it was like the bathtub but she did not care. She liked sitting outside next to the pool though and reaching in the getting the toys out.

We also tried finger painting for the first time last week. She actually did really good with it. She only tried to eat it once and then the rest of the time she just played in it.

Sam and I went to the Atlanta Steeplechase last weekend. We had a great time, although I tried betting on the underdog horse because I wanted to win big, but I ended up not winning anything! We still had fun though!

Hannah's First Easter

The Sampson family had a nice first Easter with Hannah. It was fun to dress her up in her pretty dress and she enjoyed the Easter basket left by the Easter Bunny. She was very into the plastic grass and the packaging from everything in her basket. We tried to pose her outside with our bunny, Charlie, but the bunny was not having it. He kept trying to hop away and Hannah was trying to chase him.

The Saturday before Easter we went to down to the trail at Cochran Shoals and took Hannah for a long walk. Hannah enjoyed being outside and watching all the other people. We took her down by the water and she liked that too. Pretty soon she will be big enough to go fishing with Daddy down there!
